Client ADvocates
Client advocates provide options consultations for clients in an atmosphere of warmth and compassion through listening and other helping skills. WRC provides excellent preparatory training (15 hours of classroom instruction) as well as the observation of experienced client advocates. After sufficient instruction and observation, the staff works closely with new client advocates in performing their duties.
Time commitment – A two to three-hour per week commitment (Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.) is requested and arranged according to the Clinic’s needs and the volunteer’s availability.
Receptionists
Our friendly receptionists warmly greet clients, are the first friendly faces seen, help with initial paperwork, and assist the staff with clerical tasks. WRC provides excellent preparatory training (15 hours of classroom instruction) as well as the observation of experienced receptionists. After sufficient instruction and observation, the staff works closely with new receptionists in performing their duties.
Time commitment – A two to three-hour per week commitment (Monday through Thursday between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.) is requested and arranged according to the Clinic's needs and the volunteer’s availability.
Church Liaison
Serve as the vital link between Women’s Resource Clinic and your church family. As a Church Liaison, you’ll share clinic updates, promote events, and encourage your church’s involvement in life-affirming ministry. You’ll help coordinate opportunities for prayer, volunteering, and giving and event attendance—strengthening the partnership between the clinic and your congregation.
Time Commitment: Typically 1–2 hours per month, plus attending occasional clinic events.
Earn While you Learn Mentors
As a mentor in the EWYL program you will provide ongoing support to clients in the program by participating in EWYL start sessions, scheduling follow up appointments, reviewing information from sessions, answering questions, and by providing a consistent face through the duration of their participation in the program.
Mentors work closely with clinic staff and receive specialized training to serve effectively.
Time commitment – 3-4 hours weekly.
Clinic Nurses (lvns & Rns)
Clinic nurses work in conjunction with volunteer physicians providing support and care for clients. WRC provides excellent preparatory training (15 hours of classroom instruction) as well as clinic orientation provided by our Nurse Manager.
Time commitment – Nurses are scheduled to volunteer on Tuesdays every three or four weeks from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
Support & Special Event Volunteers
Support volunteers assist with various tasks such as preparing mailings, maintaining the clothes room, gardening, clerical assistance, etc. Special event volunteers assist the Executive Assistant and Executive Director with various fundraising events throughout the year such as the Walk For Life in the Spring and the Fall Benefit Banquet. Duties may include being a church liaison, a planning committee member, helping with decorating/set-up, being a team leader, etc.
Generally 4-5 hours the day of the event.
