Counselor |
Provide crisis intervention counseling for clients in an atmosphere of warmth and compassion through listening and other helping skills.* |

Receptionist |
Warmly greet clients, schedule appointments for callers, direct incoming calls, and assist the staff with clerical tasks* |

Hotline Worker |
During the hours the Clinic is closed, provide a point of contact for client's seeking the Clinic's services by receiving calls at home through our cell phone. (3-hour training required) |

Special Event Volunteer |
Assist the Director of Development with various special fundraising events throughout the year such as the Spring Walk for Life and Fall Benefit Dinner. |

Clinic Nurse |
Work in conjunction with physicians providing support and care for clients. Must be a registered nurse, vocational nurse, or a nurse assistant licensed by the California Board of Registered Nursing. |

Medical Doctor Volunteer |
Work in conjunction with nurses and counselors to ensure patients are receiving the best medical, nursing, psychosocial, and spiritual care possible. Also must be licensed to practice in the State of California. |
| Board Member | Serve on the Board of Directors to set policy, give guidance for the ministry and encourage and support the staff.* |
| Clerical Volunteer | Assist in maintaining an efficient office by using computer skills, typing, filing, and other activities necessary, to support the staff and Clinic. (2-hour training required) |
* The training for volunteering at Women’s Resource Clinic is six sessions of three hours each. The staff and guest speakers lead the training. The training includes topics such as: Biblical Foundation, Crisis Counseling, Legal Issues, Fetal Development, Abstinence, Adoption, Abuse, Evangelism, Post Abortion Counseling and Education, and Communication Skills.
We ask for a three-hour per week commitment for counselors and receptionists, arranged according to Clinic needs and volunteers’ schedules. Clinic nurses and doctors rotate their schedules on Thursdays for 2-3 hours each Clinic day.
